Two New Restaurants To Join Panera at 345 Adams
Sugar and Plumm and American BBQ and Beer Company will join a growing list of eateries calling Downtown Brooklyn home.

Two new eateries, Sugar and Plumm, and American BBQ and Beer Company, are making their New York debut in the city office building at 345 Adams Street in Downtown Brooklyn, according to the Brooklyn Eagle and Crain's.
According to the Eagle, Muss Development LLC, developers of the New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, purchased the first two floors of 345 Adams St. from the city in 2007, with intentions of opening retail projects in the space.
, is a restaurant and ice cream parlor, with a chocolate and candy counter. Their first location opened in September in Paramus, N.J. The Eagle says that American BBQ and Beer Company is a new concept from Mark Advent, the creator of the New York, New York hotel and casino in Las Vegas.

According to Crain's, construction on both restaurants will begin in March and both are expected to open in fall 2012. The two eateries will join chain restaurant Panera Bread, which will open in the building in February.
Brownstoner muses that all three tenants “seem clearly calculated to appeal to tourists staying in the Marriott.”
