Duo Attempt to Rob Man in Freeport

The attempted robbery occurred on Friday night.

FREEPORT, NY - Two men tried to steal a wallet from a man in Freeport on Friday night, according to Nassau Police.

A 37-year-old man was approached by the duo in Parking Field 11 on Church Street at about 7:55 p.m. when they attempted to steal his wallet by physical force, police said.

After a brief struggle, the two fled, without any proceeds, northbound on Church Street.

The victim refused medical attention at scene.

The first man is described as in his early twenties wearing dark clothing and the second man is described as in his late teens wearing blue jeans and a black t-shirt, according to police.
