Masked Men Rob Driver Stopped at Red Light at Knifepoint
The men cut the driver on the chin and arm during the robbery, police say.

ROOSEVELT, NY - Two men robbed a driver stopped at a traffic light at knifepoint in Roosevelt on Thursday night, according to Nassau Police.
The men, both armed with knives, approached the 46-year-old man, who was in his car stopped at a red light on W. Clinton Avenue and Nassau Road at about 10 p.m., police said.
The robbers reached through the open driver’s side window, cut the victim under his chin and on the arm and demanded money, police said.

The man got out of the car and the robbers removed his cell phone and wallet, containing cash and credit cards.
Both robbers got in the man's car and fled the scene westbound on Clinton Avenue, police said.

The man fled on foot and contacted the police who found the car, abandoned by the robbers, in front of 17 W. Clinton Avenue.
Nassau County Police Ambulance transported the man to a local hospital where he received several stitches to his chin and was released, police said.
Both men are described as in their mid 20’s, thin build, medium height and wearing black face masks, police said.
The first man was wearing a red sweatshirt and dark pants while the second man was wearing a black sweatshirt. No further description is available.
