Nassau Police Find Body Of Missing Man In Pond
Dennis Jones had been missing for a week before police found his body in Millburn Pond.
Nassau County Police recovered the body of a missing Freeport man from Millburn Pond in Freeport on Saturday.
According to police, 40-year-old Dennis Jones was last seen leaving his home on Ray Street at 7 a.m. on Dec. 21. Police thought he may have been heading to Millburn Pond.
A week later, on Dec. 28, police were conducting a thorough search of the water, using dive teams, drones and helicopters.

Police recovered Jones's body and pronounced him dead at 4:21 p.m. The investigation is ongoing.
