• Baldwin sanitation district receives $100K for new trash receptacles (liherald.com) — Freeport's own Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé has secured more than $100,000 in grants to bring high-capacity, solar-powered trash compactors and new litter baskets to nearby Baldwin, Roosevelt and South Hempstead. The upgrades aim to cut pickups, reduce litter, and support downtown revitalization, with Mulé planning to pursue additional energy-saving projects with Sanitary District 2.
