Police Seeking Freeport Robber
The robber pushed the woman before stealing her wallet, police say.

FREEPORT, NY - A 19-year-old woman was robbed in Freeport on Wednesday afternoon, according to Nassau Police.
At about 12:52 p.m., the woman was walking on north on N. Columbus Avenue when an unknown man approached her from behind and pushed her to the ground, police said.
The man then stole her wallet that contained her New York State ID card, Bethpage Credit Card, and cash, police said.

The robber then fled on foot east through the rear yard of 96 N. Columbus Avenue. There were no injuries reported.
The man is described as between 18 to 20 years of age, dark skin, thin build, 5-foot-10, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, and dark jeans, police said.

Detectives request that anyone with information regarding the robbery to contact the Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
