Taxi Driver Robbed at Gunpoint
The driver was approached by two armed men in Roosevelt, police say.
ROOSEVELT, NY - Two men robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint in Roosevelt early Friday morning, according to Nassau Police.
At about 1:15 a.m., the duo, armed with handguns, approached a taxi cab driver in front of 120 Willet Place and demanded money.
The cab driver complied and the two fled the scene on foot through the backyard, with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.
The two men were described as wearing dark clothing and gloves. No further description is available.

Detectives ask anyone with information regarding this crime to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
Earlier this week, a taxi driver was also robbed by two men at gunpoint in Roosevelt. It is unclear if the two robberies were related.
