Kathleen Rice Easily Keeps her Congressional Seat

The results are in.

Incumbent Democrat Kathleen Rice has defeated her Republican Challenger David Gurfein to hold her seat in the House of Representatives.

Rice, of Garden City, won by more than 60,000 votes in unofficial numbers reported by the Nassau County Department of Elections Tuesday night.

With all 651 districts reporting, Rice had 173,796 votes to Gurfein's 118,821. Rice, the former Nassau County District Attorney, was first elected to her seat in 2014.
