3 Men Were Stealing Packages From Nassau Homes: Police

Police say they stole property from the front of different homes in two different towns.

Three New York City men were arrested on Thursday and charged with a string of larcenies in Garden City South and Franklin Square.

According to police, officers responded to a call for a larceny that had just happened in front of a home at 2:55 p.m. on Thursday, May 31 on Wellington Road South. Once there, police say they found Eric Soto, 24, of Rockaway Boulevard, Jamaica, in the area and in possession of several items of clothing.

Police conducted an investigation and Soto was arrested without incident. Police say the investigation led them to Yolki Ramirez, 19, of Morris Avenue, the Bronx, and Ricardo Polanco Salcedo, 63, of Post Avenue, New York. Police say the three men had been working together to steal property from the front of homes. Police say they stole property from two homes on Wellington Road South in Garden City South, one home on Princeton Avenue South in Franklin Square and one home on Caroline Avenue, also in Franklin Square.

All three men are charged with three counts of petty larceny and one count of criminal possession of stolen property. They were arraigned in First District Court in Hempstead on June 1.
