5K, Fun Run to Celebrate St. Joe's 75th Anniversary

St Joseph School is celebrating 75 years of teaching minds and guiding hearts in Garden City.  We are inviting our friends and neighbors to join us on the streets of Garden City for the party. 

On March 21st, St Joe’s will be hosting a 5K and 1 Mile Family Fun Run beginning at 8:30 AM.  The 5K will be sanctioned and certified by USA Track and Field and professionally chip timed.  There will also be an untimed fun run. Following the run, a post race festival including treats, DJ music and games for the kids will keep the party going after the last runner has crossed the finish line. There will be age category awards and prizes.

Children and adults are all encouraged to participate. We ask you to show your school spirit to help us celebrate. We ask that all participants wear their school or team colors proudly that day. Current students or loyal alumni,  elementary through university, come out and represent your home school for our School Spirit Run.  We especially want our younger runners to join us and have offered discounted registration to runners under the age of 18.

The School Spirit 5K and Fun run is the first event in an entire day of celebration for St Joseph School’s 75th Anniversary. Later in the day on March 21st, school tours will be given, a special liturgy will be held at St Joseph Church and a formal reception will be held at the Garden City Country Club.
