#64: Garden City Community Park

Something for everyone.

Garden City’s Community Park is a large complex run by the Garden City Recreation Department that has many leagues and clinics in tennis, roller hockey and softball. The park director is Steve Espey, who is very knowledgeable about all aspects of the park.

Each sport has its season. Platform tennis and roller hockey are about ready to begin.

The sports facilities and fields include:

  • 90- foot baseball field
  • Two 60-foot baseball/softball fields
  • a full size soccer field
  • One roller hockey rink
  • Recreation Clubhouse
  • Snack bar
  • Four Har-Tru indoor tennis courts (sides open during warm weather months)
  • Four R.J. Reilly aluminum platform tennis courts
  • The Garden City Pool (See Top 100 #73)
  • An 18-hole miniature golf (See Top 100 #65)

Parking is available on the south side of the lot at the Garden City Pool to reach some of the fields or with the Community Park area to the north.
