Advertise in Welcoming Club's Business Directory

Reach hundreds of Garden City households.

The Welcoming Club of Garden City (WCGC) is offering Garden City businesses and merchants the chance to advertise in the non-profit's 2010-2011 Business Directory, which will be published at the end of November. Reach more than 700 village households just in time for the holiday rush and encourage residents to spend their dollars locally.

The Directory is also an opportunity for local businesses and merchants to create additional networking opportunities, build on existing relationships and establish new ones. In addition, this information is provided at newcomer's events held by the various committees of the WCGC throughout the year.

The Directory has a long shelf life; advertisers will also be listed under the Business Directory section of the WCGC website.

The WCGC was established in 1954 and was formerly known as "The Welcome Wagon" until 2004 due to a national charter change.

"The WCGC is a well-established women's organization, which not only focuses on welcoming new members to the community through a variety of social activities, but also promotes charitable and humanitarian projects. This year's philanthropic cause is Abilities!" says WCGC member Jackie Goode.

Approximately 1,000 new families move into Garden City every year, ages 30-50, usually with families – these are newly arrived residents who need to know where to go – with eager dollars to spend.

"It is important that we get the community to shop, spend and dine in Garden City and coordinate efforts with our local merchants, restaurants and other businesses," says Goode, who's also a member of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce. "This is a very valuable tool to reach your target market and get your name out there ... The cost value versus the profit potential proves that this is a beneficial mechanism for all."

If interested in advertising in the Directory, contact Goode at 746-3577 or jmgoode322@optonline.net. A 10 percent discount will be offered to returning advertisers, sponsors and active members. The deadline is fast approaching so move quickly to take advantage of this unique opportunity.
