Nassau County prosecutors detailed how coordinated work by Garden City and other departments, plus video and cell phone evidence, led to his arrest and an expected prison sentence of up to several years.
   

• Oprah-Backed Restaurant Chain Files For Bankruptcy, Abruptly Closes 12 Locations (dailyvoice.com) — A True Food Kitchen restaurant in Garden City has abruptly closed after the Oprah-backed chain filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and shut down 12 locations nationwide. The Garden City closure happened after service on Sunday, Oct. 4, leaving employees suddenly out of work but paid for hours already worked, with benefits continuing through Oct. 31 and possible transfers to other locations.
