The Long Island Region of Best Buddies International held their third annual Best Buddies Prom March 5 at Shoreham-Wading River High School.
Best Buddies chapters from all over Long Island including Rockville Centre, Oceanside, Levittown, Massapequa, Wading River and Southampton, joined together for a Hawaiian-themed prom. Friendships were celebrated with food, music and dancing.
The Outstanding Buddy Pair Award for Garden City High School went to Grayce Nix and Breanne Lapinski for all of the time they spend together shopping, getting their nails done and just having a good time. The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and the prom was a great success!
