Don’t Break the Bank

Sunday, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. Join us in this workshop as we mark the opening of our newest exhibit, Cyberchase: The Chase is On! based on the hit PBS show about problem-solving and mathematics. Find out more about characters like Inez, Dr. Marbles and the villain Hacker, watch video clips from past episodes, learn about saving and spending and craft your own money bank to look like Hacker’s henchman Buzz. Ages 7 and up. Fee: $3 with museum admission ($2 LICM members).

New Exhibit!

Based on the Emmy® winning PBS KIDS GO! math and  mystery cartoon CYBERCHASE, Cyberchase — The Chase Is On! invites children to join the CyberSquad on an action packed adventure to thwart Hacker, the TV show’s nefarious villain, using math and reasoning skills just like Matt, Jackie, Inez and Digit! The exhibit presents math in an engaging, visually rich environment, allowing visitors to make use of their critical thinking skills and approach math with an investigative, positive attitude. Children will enter Cyberspace through a special portal to explore favorite cybersites, including the Control Central, the Grim Wreaker and Poddleville, and be greeted by Motherboard, the peace-loving leader of Cyberspace. All ages. Free with museum admission.

Cyberchase – The Chase Is On! was developed by the Children’s Museum of Houston in partnership with Thirteen/WNET New York and is nationally funded by the National Science Foundation. CYBERCHASE is produced by THIRTEEN for WNET.ORG. CYBERCHASE  is a trademark of the Educational Broadcasting Corporation. The PBS KIDS GO! Logo is a registered mark of PBS and used with permission.
