Seniors, Visit the Cradle of Aviation Museum

Trip to Cradle of Aviation Museum: The Retired Men’s Club is organizing a trip to the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Mitchel Field on Aug. 24. Participants will meet at the Senior Center on Golf Club Lane at 11:30 a.m. and then car pool to the museum. The cost of $15 per person includes the IMAX Theatre Movie. You don’t have to be a member of the club to participate and everyone is invited. To register, please call Rudy Kaiser at 741-2729.

Summer Music on the Green: The Garden City Recreation Department will again run its summer concert series at the Gazebo on the Village Green. All concerts will be held on Thursday in July and will begin at 7:15 p.m. Bring your own chairs or blankets and enjoy this free series.

• July 28 – Rag Doll – A Tribute to Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons

In the event of a less than beautiful day, all shows will be held indoors in St. Paul’s Cluett Hall, 295 Stewart Ave.

St. Paul's Senior Center Activities: The St. Paul’s Senior Center is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Fridays for senior individuals to enjoy. Exercise will continue during the summer but programming will stop so our seniors can enjoy the Garden City Pool. Please look for our fall announcements in August. Until then, St. Paul’s Senior Center will be open for you to meet with your friends, enjoy a good book or to just sit and relax.
