An Essential Business for Garden City: Essential Printing and Graphics

Essential serves Garden City businesses and charities.

There’s a new printer for Garden City residents located on Cherry Valley Avenue- sort of.

Essential Printing and Graphics’ most recent location is new, but the 23-year-old company has been around since 1989, in several locations on that stretch of road. The moving boxes have now been unpacked and the company is now open for business.

Many Garden City organizations and charities such as Mollie’s Fund, the Cherry Valley Club, the American Cancer Society and Garden City Nursery School have used Essential Printing for years with their brochures, posters and more.

Bill Fay, the owner, has been known for his largesse and he is offering August discounts for members of any Garden City charities or clubs.

Garden City resident Jack Biggane is the founder of Mollie's Fund, a skin cancer awareness organization. "We use Bill quite often," he said. "He's very prompt, responsive, does good work and he's a good guy.  Bill's generous."

The combination of a total of 30 years of experience in the printing business with Fay and the talent of Vinnie Smith, the graphic designer who has a degree in electronic media and visual arts, guarantees success for Essential.

“I love the printing business and even though it’s changed over the years we keep updated with state of the art equipment. People come in with an idea they want printed and we can custom design it for them with our superior graphics, or charities can bring in the artwork camera-ready.” Fay said.

Fay notes that he won the “2010 Carlson Craft Distinguished Dealer Award for Outstanding Sales Achievement and Service.” He also carries other lines for invitations, including “Chloe B,” a new line with Crane stationery by Carlson Craft.

Essential Printing is located on the corner of Cherry Valley and Concord avenues, across from Garden City Nursery School, just over the border into West Hempstead. For more information visit www.EssentialPrintingAndGraphics.com or call 516-292-2553.
