Brian Daughney Elected New Garden City Mayor
Mark Hyer was elected to the board, filling Daughney's seat.

Garden City held its village elections on Tuesday, and Brian Daughney was elected the village's new mayor.
Mayor Nicholas Episcopia is stepping down when his term ends on April 3. Daughney will take over as mayor. And newcomer Mark Hyer will fill the board seat left vacant by Episcopia's departure.
Deputy Mayor Dick Silver also did not seek reelection. He is being replaced by new board member Louis Minuto.

Turnout for the election was low, though, with each candidate only receiving around 200 votes. For the full results, click here.
