Brooklyn Man Arrested After Robbing Nassau Store: Police

Police say the man waved a weapon at security guards when they tried to stop him.

A Brooklyn man was arrested Friday morning and charged with robbing a store in the Roosevelt Field Mall.

According to police, officers responded to a robbery in progress at Neiman Marcus, located inside the mall at 630 Old Country Road. Store security had followed a man after police say say he stole merchandise from the store. Police say that security followed the man, Terrance Greene, 40, of East 48th Street, outside and tried to apprehend him, but he pulled out a sharp, blunt, metal object.

When officers arrived, the security identified Greene and officers arrested him. He was charged with first-degree robbery and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
