Looks like Garden City may be turning into Gotham City with all the superhero Dads around town. Patch asked the experts, "Which superhero does your Dad remind you of?"
Garden City kids went all out to describe their Dad's super powers:
Brian Wood, 8: "My Dad is Superman because he has strong laser eyeballs and good hearing. He can hear me whenever I sneak around! I'm making my Dad a card for Father's Day."

Interestingly, Americans needed to be warmed up to the idea of Father's Day, even though Mother's Day had been celebrated in the United States since 1914. The first Father's Day was celebrated in 1910 but it took 62 years to make it an official holiday. President Nixon made it a permanent national holiday when he signed it into law in 1972.
Happy Father's Day Garden City!
