Dr Ashwani Maichand is a leading orthopedist and a Sr. Consultant and Director at the Institute of Bone and Joint (MGS Hospital, Delhi).

Dr Maichand began his career at Government Medical College, Rohtak in 1987. After completing his graduation, he went to Jaipur for his post-graduation in SMS Medical College
Dr Ashwani Maichand is an experienced orthopedist, who brings a lot of knowledge and expertise with him. He has dedicated a lot of time to joint reconstruction having tasted a lot of success in this field in the last decade. He has worked with the masters of joint replacement and arthroscopy in India and abroad after his MS. Dr Maichand completed his MCh in 2009 from the American Institute of Medicine. He has also done joint replacement fellowship from USA and Germany.
His journey and achievements have been exemplary in this field, having performed more than 6,000 joint replacement and arthroscopic surgeries. He worked as Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon at Joint Replacement Unit, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi before joining Dr BL Kapur Memorial Hospital. Dr Ashwani Maichand is also an Honorary Consultant to the Special Protection Group (SPG). He has worked in Fortis hospital New Delhi before joining MGS hospital in Punjabi Bagh.

Dr Maichand is a specialist when it comes to orthopedic surgeries including MIS joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, endoscopic spine surgery and limb salvage surgery. His knowledge and experience comes handy in crucial cases.He has successfully performed surgeries like cemented, non-cemented and hybrid total hip replacement, surface replacement arthroplasty, ceramic on ceramic total hip replacement, ceramic on poly total knee replacement and unicondylarknee replacement.
