Driver Seriously Hurt In DWI Crash: Nassau Police
The victim was hit by a drunk driver, police say, and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

A Uniondale man was arrested early Sunday morning after police say he was driving drunk and caused a serious car crash.
According to police, Brandon G. Wagner, 25, of Newport Road, was driving a 2017 Ford Fusion east on Peninsula Boulevard in Hempstead, at the intersection of Franklin Street, at 3:11 a.m. when he hit a 2017 Hyundai that was driving south on Franklin Street.
The driver of the second car, a 53-year-old man, suffered serious injuries, police said, and was taken to a local hospital. Police say the investigation is ongoing.

Wagner is charged with second-degree assault, second-degree vehicular assault, DWI, reckless driving and reckless endangerment. He is scheduled to be arraigned on Monday in First District Court in Hempstead.
