EAC Network Works with new Corporate Partner

National Grid Employees Volunteer at EAC

September 2022. EAC Network is grateful to have been part of National Grid's Statewide Day of Service on September 16th, 2022. On the National Grid Day of service, employees volunteered their time to support the programs at EAC Network.

Different departments at EAC beneficiated from the services of National Grid who focuses on strengthening communities and making a difference today and every day.

Neela Mukherjee Lockel, president and CEO of EAC Network stated: “National Grid is not just another utility company. They are our neighbors. I know National Grid shares our values of helping people when they need it most. I thank National Grid and welcome them as a Corporate Partner of the EAC Network. Together, we know there is more to do.”

National Grid volunteers supported EAC numerous ways:

  • At EAC’s Suffolk County Supervised Visitation office numerous rooms were painted
  • At EAC’s Alternatives for Youth program a room was decorated to make it more kid friendly
  • At the Nassau County Family Court program volunteered painting the facility’s steps
  • Hempstead Middle school students, through EAC’s conflict resolution program, were informed about National Grid and careers.
  • The Senior Center in Merrick received two Nation Grid volunteers who educated the seniors about the necessity of staying warm during the winter.

“I’m very proud of our employees’ efforts in supporting the important mission of the EAC Network during our Second Annual Day of Service,” said Melanie Littlejohn, vice president of customer and community management at National Grid. “We’re inspired by the partners we work with and their dedication to the communities and neighborhoods we serve. We know there’s more work to do. And our partnerships, with the EAC Network and others, will continue to be at the heart of delivering for our customers and communities."
