Friends of the Garden City Public Library will present a FREE concert “A Tribute to Judy Garland” with Lisa Berman, vocalist; Stephen Goldstein, pianist; and Ruthe McKeown, narrator.
Enjoy the songs and stories of this legendary singer and movie star of Hollywood’s Golden Era. This public program is funded by The Friends of the Garden City Public Library. Seating and parking is limited and on a first-come basis. No tickets are required to attend.
Journey through the extraordinary life and times of one of the 20th Century's most enduring icons. Hear about the often triumphant but ultimately tragic life of Judy Garland. Her turbulent life and career is narrated in stunning detail and punctuated with the hit songs from Judy's movies, concerts and television appearances. Lisa Berman will sing over 20 songs which include such memorable gems as "The Man That Got Away", "The Trolley Song" and of course, "Over The Rainbow."
