Lumiere Ballet’s talented dance troupe will grace our stage to the music of Russian composer Peter Ilyitch Tchaikovsky with choreography by Svetlana Caton-Noble after Petipa/Ivanov. Be transported to the land of enchantment with captivating staging of dances performed in the traditional grand manner including: Clara and the Nutcracker, Clara in the Land of the Sweets, Spanish Dance, Chinese Dance, Russian Dance, Arabian Dance, Waltz of the Flowers, and Sugar Plum Fairy.
Svetlana Caton-Noble, Artistic Director of Lumiere Ballet studied with teachers who exemplify the purest form of Russian Classicism. In Europe, Lydia Pavlova gave the foundation that brought her to prestigious scholarship offers from the Ballet School of the Paris Opera. She danced, taught and choreographed in NYC and in 1995 founded the Lumiere Ballet Company in Bay Shore. Featuring qualified students and professional dancers, the Performing Company offers an extensive repertoire of classical, romantic and contemporary works.
