Ethical Humanist Society Celebrates Darwin’s Birthday

Join the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island, based in Garden City, on February 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a celebration of Charles Darwin’s birthday with a series of presentations and other events.

The first presentation will be “How Science Works,” presented by Dr. Victor Schuster. Other presentations include “Astronomy and the Night Sky” and “Meteorite/Meteor Wrong: How do you know a rock is a Meteor,” which will be given by Linda Prince and the Amateur Observer’s Society.

Furthermore, displays of children’s science projects will be available for viewing. There will be arts and crafts throughout the day, as well as a graffiti wall.
