
The Garden City Bird Sanctuary will present an informative showcase display at the Garden City Public Library from Dec. 2–30.
This educational collection will include a history of the Garden City Bird Sanctuary. The mission of the Garden City Bird Sanctuary is to manage protected greenspace for environmental stewardship and community services programs.
The sanctuary was converted from a weed and trash covered sump during 1995 by thousands of volunteers. The nine acres has received the Outstanding Ecological Program Award and the Merit Award for the Outstanding Volunteer Community.

Funding for gallery and showcase exhibits is provided by The Friends of the Garden City Public Library. Installation and removal dates are subject to change.
