Haunted Hikes at the Garden City Bird Sanctuary!

The Garden City Bird Sanctuary’s 5th Annual ‘Haunted Hikes’ are set for Friday  and Saturday nights, October 14th  and 15th  at the 9- acre community nature preserve.  Prepare to be scared! Is the Earth doomed? This year, the Haunted Hikes have doubled! An additional night of escorted Haunted Hikes was added.  Take the half hour escorted “walk”, but be careful and watch out for ghosts, goblins, zombies, and especially scary environmental themes. Watch out for the emergency toxic and hazardous waste cleanup, beware the exotic invasive species of plants and insects, don’t let the ravenous landfill devour you, and don’t drink any poisoned water!!  Watch out for the Plastic Bag Monster!  Scary and not-so scary hikes are offered.

Stay for hot cider or a snack. Suitable for all ages.  Entrance for a hike is $6 per person with all proceeds donated to the Garden City Bird Sanctuary.  There is a $1 per ticket discount for advance ticket sales, scout and religious groups (payment by Oct 10). Rain Date: Saturday Oct. 22nd. Buy or reserve tickets for the events now:  (516) 326-1720 or gcbirdsanctuary@gmail.com
