See four stages of love, as seen through the jaundiced eyes of four of America’s leading playwrights, including: David Ives (The Meeting); Jules Feiffer (The First “Hook-Up”); Neil Simon (A Reunion, of Sorts); and Renee Taylor and Joseph Bologna (The Break-up).
Joe Dobkins has been performing in theatrical productions on Long Island for more than 40 years. He has appeared in dozens of roles with Plaza Theatrical Productions, Lantern Theatre, and Broadhollow Theater to name a few. Anne Bass performs with Plaza Theatrical Productions as part of their Arts in Education program. She is the Executive Producer of Lantern Theatre in Freeport.
The name of A.K. Readers Theatre is an homage to Woody Allen, whose work they like to include in their shows, where possible. For example, their "Senior Moments" show, opens with his one-act play "Death Knocks." The "AK" stands for Allen Konigsberg, Woody Allen's birth name.
