Friends of the Garden City Public Library will present a FREE 70-minute show “On The Case: Christie Mysteries” with actors Diana Heinlein, David Houston and Rick Heuthe on Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 2:00pm at the Garden City Public Library located at 60 Seventh St., Garden City, NY. Enjoy David Houston’s radio-style play (with music accompaniment and sound effects) derived from classic stories by Agatha Christie, the undisputed mistress of mystery and surprise, featuring her most famous detectives, Miss Jane Marple & Monsieur Hercule Poirot. See a fanciful fully staged scene in which they meet and discuss “Getting Away with Murder” with dialog drawn from numerous Christie novels and stories.
Dame Agatha Christie (1890 to 1976) wrote 80 novels of detective fiction, many of which have been made into highly successful movies & TV shows. She became a Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire in 1971. With most of her work still in print, Agatha is now the most published writer of all time.
