Music Academy 2011 Summer Camp: Battle of the Bands II

For the past five years, the Music Academy of Garden City has been our community's #1 source for quality music education. This summer, we are gearing up for what will surely be the BEST summer day camp for kids. Last year, our "BATTLE OF THE BANDS" was a rousing success, and culminated in a concert at the Garden City Community Church that where hundreds of friends and family members watched their children perform in rock bands that they started and rehearsed under the tutilage of our world-class instructors. This year, our "BATTLE OF THE BANDS II" is going to be even better!

Here are the top five reasons why your child should be enrolled in the Music Academy Battle of the Bands Summer Camp:

 1. Each child will become part of his or her own rock band where they will learn music by the greats (like the Beatles, Hendrix, Zepplin, the Police, etc.), write their own music, and prepare for a concert on Friday where they will battle for the title of Best Summer Band 2011!

2. Each Music Academy instructor is a professional musician and educator who hold advanced degrees in music, as well as recording and performing experience. This means that your child will learn from some of the BEST music educators in New York.

3. Band sizes are small, ensuring that each child receives individual attention in daily rehearsals.

4. Besides rock band rehearsals, all kids participate in master classes on vocal performance, guitar and bass technique, keyboard technique, drum set technique, and attend clinics where they hear world-renown musicians perform and teach about different styles of music.

5. Lunch is included in the price!

This will be the fifth summer camp hosted by the Music Academy, and our second Battle of the Bands.
