An old fan favorite will be appearing at the Long Island Children’s Museum on Saturday, January 15 and Sunday, January 16. Puppeteer Liz Joyce along with Abby Levin will present Puppets of the High Seas at the Museum at 1 and 3 p.m.Â
Families are invited to join Liz, Abby and A Couple of Puppets as they set sail and voyage through time to the Island of No Footprints. Along the way you’ll meet the Great Blue Heron, Harbor Seal and Blue Crab who are in need of help! Travel along with them as they discover the beauty and peril of life under the sea as they rescue the ocean from the notorious polluting pirates. The show is designed for children three years and up.Â
The performances are held in connection with LICM’s Saltwater Stories, a three-part celebration of Long Island’s maritime traditions. Starting January 8, each weekend will feature a different facet of maritime life, including bay houses, tools of the trade and stories and the contributions of Native Americans. The series will run until January 23.
