Roosevelt Field Auditions Aspiring Models For Simon Malls' Major Fall Fashion Show

Long Island men and women looking to fulfill fantasies of strutting their stuff in a professional runway fashion show are invited to Model For A Day auditions on Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Roosevelt Field. On-air radio personality Astra from 106.1 WBLI will emcee the competition, which begins at 1 p.m. in the North Court.  

Contestants, age 16 and older, may begin lining up near the runway at 10 a.m. Registration kicks off at 12 p.m. The contest is limited to the first 100 registrants.

They will need to bring their smoothest swagger and fiercest footwork to impress a panel of judges, who will choose one male winner and one female winner to receive the ultimate Model For A Day prize: the opportunity to walk in a runway show during Simon Fashion Now®, taking place at Roosevelt Field October 12-13. Simon Fashion Now®, presented locally by Winthrop-University Hospital, is a series of high-energy runway fashion shows and interactive entertainment spotlighting must-have trends for fall from fashionable Roosevelt Field retailers.

The Model For A Day winners will walk in the True Religion Brand Jeans’ segment of the 7:30 p.m. runway show on Simon Fashion Now®’s opening night. As part of their prize package, they also will receive a consultation and professional photo shoot from Phaze 2 Model Talent Development; two Hotel Chocolat concierge bags with Rabot and Purist single origin chocolates; two $50 spa gift certificates from XSport Fitness; and invites for two to the opening night VIP party.
