Queen Victoria made afternoon tea a national pass time. It was a time that friends and family got together to enjoy each other and fine food.
Come to the Victorian Tea at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Garden City on Saturday, Jan. 23 from 2-4 p.m. (snow date Jan. 24 at 3 p.m.). Enjoy delicious tea sandwiches, scones with jellies and clotted crème, cookies and a variety of hot teas while being entertained by pianist, Joe McAuley.
Tickets are $18 ($16 for seniors) with advance reservations (by Jan. 21) and $20 ($18 for seniors) at the door.
