Volunteers Prepare for Huge Book Sale To Benefit Garden City Public Library

Volunteers for the Friends of the Garden City Public Library have spent months preparing for their fund raising "Book Sale" at the Library on Saturday, November 13 from 9:00am–4:00pm. The "Bookworms" group has given many hours sorting hard and soft cover books to be sold at amazingly low bargain prices. It's a win-win situation with all proceeds to benefit the Library. The Friends appreciate the generous response of book donations from the community! Great gift and beautiful Christmas books as well as fiction, non-fiction, and children's books will entice the savvy shopper. The Library is located at the corner of 60 Seventh St. and Hilton Ave., in Garden City. For directions call the Garden City Public Library at 516/742–8405 or contact the library's web site at www.gardencitypl.org

The Friends of the Garden City Public Library works as a dynamic resource for the Garden City community with its staff and extensive services. The non-profit organization has provided FREE for patrons of all ages: quality programs, new equipment, summer reading groups, changing exhibitions, movies, book discussions, newsletters, lectures, plays, concerts, craft workshops, and much more.
