Police officers and firefighters responded to a residence for a report of a possible carbon monoxide leak on Feb. 14. Upon investigation, firefighters determined the area to be safe.

A blue 2012 Chrysler Town and Country Minivan was reported stolen from a Garden City Plaza parking field on Feb. 15.

Officers investigated a report of a property damage auto accident on Franklin Avenue on Feb. 15 where one of the vehicles, a black SUV, left the scene without stopping.

Officers arrested a 32-year-old woman from Uniondale for the theft of merchandise valued at $533 from Lord & Taylor on Feb. 16.

As a result of a traffic stop investigation on Cathedral Avenue on Feb. 16, a 39-year-old woman from Hempstead was arrested for DWI, unsafe lane changes and uninsured operation.

Officers investigated a report of unauthorized online charges exceeding $1,300 against a resident’s credit card account on Feb. 17.

A 2014 Audi was reported stolen from a Wyatt Road residence on Feb. 18.

A vehicle was stopped for traveling at excessive speed on Clinton Road and St. James Street South on Feb. 18. Upon investigation, the driver, a 19-year-old man from Hempstead, was charged with driving without a license, switched license plates, unregistered vehicle, uninsured vehicle and excessive speed. In addition, the vehicle was impounded.

Offices safeguarded South Avenue where a large tree limb fell onto the roadway on Feb. 18.

Officers investigated multiple reports of vehicles being entered during the overnight hours on Oxford Boulevard, Stratford Avenue and Hampton Road on Feb. 19. A small amount of prescription medicine was reported stolen from one of the vehicles.

During a traffic stop investigation on Franklin Avenue at Fourth Street on Feb. 20, officers arrested a 31-year-old man from West Hempstead for two counts of second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation. The man had a suspended license due to a prior DWI as well as 11 additional license suspensions.

Officers investigated a theft of service report at a local beauty salon where a female subject did not pay for treatments valued at $750 on Feb. 20.
