  • A car parked at a Nassau Boulevard home was entered on July 11, but nothing was taken.
  • Officers responded to the Merillon Avenue train station for a suspicious package on July 11. Upon investigation, it was determined to be a duffel bag full of trash.
  • Officers investigated a report of a white truck sideswiping and damaging another vehicle on Stewart Avenue on July 11 before leaving the scene without stopping.
  • A handbag containing a wallet, credit cards and money was reported stolen from a desk inside a Franklin Avenue business office on July 12.
  • With assistance from Adelphi Public Safety, Garden City Police Officers arrested a 22-year-old man from Hempstead for criminal trespass on the campus on July 13. The man was advised by the university that he had no permission to be on the campus when he was previously arrested in March for arson and trespass.
  • A vehicle was stopped by an officer for speeding on Clinton Road on July 13. Upon investigation, the driver, a 21-year-old man from Uniondale, was arrested for possessing a suspended license, unlicensed operation, speeding and unlawful possession of marijuana.
  • A vehicle was stopped by an officer for multiple vehicle and traffic law violations on Stewart Avenue on July 13. Upon investigation, the driver, a 33-year-old man from the Bronx, was arrested for having suspended driving privileges and unlicensed operation.
  • Allergy medication was reported stolen from Walgreen’s on Franklin Avenue by two unknown men on July 14.
  • King’s on Franklin Avenue reported a larceny of assorted meats on July 14. An unknown man exited the store with a shopping cart containing assorted meats without paying for the items.
  • Officers responded to a Willow Street home for a trespass report on July 15. The homeowner reported an individual dressed in dark clothing attempted to open his garage door. The individual was not located.
  • Officers responded to a Cambridge Avenue residence for a criminal mischief on July 15. The homeowner reported damage to gazebo light fixtures.
  • A vehicle parked at a Garden Street home was entered and a vehicle parked at a Roxbury Road residence was entered on July 16; there is no reported loss from either vehicle.
  • Officers arrested a 57-year-old woman from Hempstead for the theft of merchandise valued at $168 from Lord & Taylor.
  • A vehicle parked at a Willow Street residence was entered on July 16 and a phone charger was stolen.
  • On July 17, officers arrested an 18-year-old man from Hempstead for the theft of merchandise taken on numerous dates from Sears valued at $767.
  • A vehicle parked at a Grove Street residence was entered and a vehicle parked at a Magnolia Avenue residence was entered on July 17; assorted items were taken from both vehicles.
