Garden City Pool To Be Cheaper For Residents This Year

The membership fee for the pool is dropping this year in response to concerns from residents about the price.

In response to residents' concerns about the price of pool membership, the Village of Garden City announced that it would be reducing prices for all memberships by 18 percent this year.

While residents love the pool, responses to online surveys and questionnaires shows that the cost of membership is a concern for many residents. In response, the Board of Commissioners of Cultural and Recreational Affairs,in collaboration with the Department of Recreation and Parks, announced the price reduction.

The pool will also be opened beyond Labor Day this year. Members can also continue to enjoy the indoor, air-conditioned dining area and the addition of more tables, chairs and lounges on the pool deck.
