Garden City School Budget Approved

Garden City residents approved the school district's budget in a vote Tuesday night.
The proposed $117,999,968 budget was approved 1,114 to 247, according to Newsday. It came with a 2.08 percent tax levy increase.
In addition, two members of the Board of Education were running to keep their seats, but ran unopposed. Stefanie Granville earned 976 votes and William Holub got 884.
