"Our race has seen tremendous growth over the past few years. The race attracts elite runners as well as multi-generational families, moms and dads running with jogging strollers and walkers of all ages," said longtime Race Director Ken Aneser. "It is very much a family affair and a fun annual tradition.”
The Garden City Turkey Trot, a cherished community tradition, once again benefited the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the Muscular Dystrophy Association and The INN. Runners are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the Turkey Trot Food Drive.

“Thanks to an amazing Race Committee, which works very hard year round to put on a quality event, and our generous corporate sponsors, the Garden City Turkey Trot is able to offer runners a big race experience on a treasured national holiday and has raised well over a million dollars for our charities over the years,” Anesar said.
