Garden City youth boys show great future for FLG Lacrosse!

It was a great summer season for the FLG Select teams! The teams were lead by a strong group of Garden City boys who dominated on and off the field. Kyle Carney, Matthew Jordan and Eric Tiedemann lead the 2021 boys, while Griffin Cole, Timothy Gallagher, Brendan Gunn, Aidan O’Donohue and Jackson Perisa were all critical parts of the 2022 select team’s success. Kyle and Griffin set the tone in the midfield and Matthew, Timothy and Brendan put the ball in the back of the net when their team depended on them the most. The defense from Eric, Aidan and Jackson was also impressive. Our youngest Garden City Native, Jordan James of the 2023 FLG Select team, also held it down defensively for his team. Director Corey Winkoff said of the boys “This group of young studs is so fun to watch play, they seemed to get better and better throughout the season. We have a lot of talent here.” We can’t wait to see what’s to come from this group in the future.

Boys Nassau and Suffolk 3rd – 4th Grade
Team try-outs for Boys teams (2024-2025) will take place September 27th, from 2:00-4:00pm at Cedar Creek Park in Seaford. Please complete the on-line registration form on the FLG website www.flglacrosse.com

Girls Suffolk 3rd – 8th Grade
Team try-outs for all Girls Teams (2017 - 2019) will take place on September 20th at Comsewogue HS in Port Jefferson. Please complete the on-line registration form on the FLG website www.flglacrosse.com

Girls Nassau 3rd – 8th Grade

HS Boys Nassau and Suffolk 9th – 11th Grade
Team try-outs for Boys 2016 and 2017 teams will take place on Tuesday, November 25th at the Hofstra Bubble. Try-outs are one day only so please complete the on-line registration form on the FLG website www.flglacrosse.com
