Girl Scouts of Nassau County Walk Their Cookie Box Creations Down the Runway at Westfield Sunrise Mall
Troop 1014 of Franklin Square showcased cookie designs in the Girl Scouts of Nassau County's "Cookie Creations Cookie Box Fashion Show."

Franklin Square, NY (February 14, 2017) – More than 50 young Girl Scouts of Nassau County recently walked the runway at Westfield Sunrise Mall in Massapequa during their “Cookie Creations Cookie Box Fashion Show.” Members of the Girl Scout Brownie Troop 1014 from Franklin Square were among participants who had an hour to design a creation out of empty Girl Scout Cookie® boxes and add a few embellishments before modeling their original piece of clothing and/or an accessory down the runway.
The event coincided with the start of Girl Scout Cookie® booth sales not only in Westfield Sunrise Mall, but in locations throughout Nassau County.
2017 marks the 100th year of Girl Scouts selling cookies. Over the past century, Franklin Troops have learned the importance of courage, confidence and character which helps strengthen community.
