LIRR Trains Running 20 Minutes Late Across All Branches
BREAKING: A track condition near Jamaica is causing widespread delays for all riders.
The LIRR has posted on its website that all trains are experiencing delays in the Friday morning rush hour.
According to the agency, a track condition near the Jamaica station is causing system-wide delays averaging 20 minutes. Some trains across the different branches were canceled because of the problem, forcing riders to take a later train.
It is unclear what caused the problem, but the LIRR says workers are on the scene making repairs.
