Little People, Big World Star Matt Roloff at Adelphi University Performing Arts Center

Adelphi University Student Activities Board is holding its
first lecture series for the semester featuring TLC’s Little People Big World star
Matthew Roloff on September 26, 2012 at the
Performing Arts Center (AUPAC) Concert Hall, 1 South Avenue, Garden
City, NY. Well-known as an inspiring figure, Roloff
will talk about
overcoming challenges, crafting destiny and achieving success. The lecture is scheduled to start at the AUPAC at 7:30
p.m. followed by a post-lecture book-signing. Doors open at AUPAC Concert Hall
at 7:00 p.m.
Matt
Roloff is an entrepreneur, actor, author, farmer and former president of the
non-profit organization for national advocacy on dwarfism, Little People of
America. He is best known for his reality television program Little People, Big World. The show that has
allowed people to follow the lives of the Roloff family at their home in Oregon
drew the attention of many audiences. His autobiography Against Tall Odds and book Little
Family, Big Values includes touching stories
about his undying determination and zest for life, as well as his path
to success and overcoming the challenges imposed on
him by diastrophic dysplasia, a rare form of dwarfism.
Roloff
has travelled to different places and shared his experiences. His speaking
engagements have ranged from Tyson Foods and Wal-Mart to Indiana
University and the South Dakota Governor’s Conference. It is not just his
inspirational entrepreneurial and personal success stories that make him an
instant favorite among his audience, but his humor and anecdotes which resonate deeply with
individuals of all ages and background. His motivational
stories and advice have helped people step out of their routine schedules,
think carefully about their lives, and craft ways for positive changes and to
achieve their dreams.
