Man Burglarized Multiple Stores In Two Nassau Malls: Police

Police say the man would burglarize multiple stores in a day, and steal merchandise and cash.

A Hewlett man was arrested on Friday and charged with burglarizing multiple stores in two different Nassau County malls.

According to police, Robert Ardoin, 40, of Frost Lane, stole from multiple stores in the Green Acres Mall and the Roosevelt Field Mall form September until his arrest.

Police say he was responsible for the following burglaries:

  • Sept. 19 – Claire’s Boutique (Roosevelt Field Mall)
  • Sept. 19 – The Walking Company (Roosevelt Field Mall)
  • Sept. 19 – Skechers (Roosevelt Field Mall)
  • Oct. 14 – Foot Locker (Roosevelt Field Mall)
  • Nov. 11 – The Depot (Green Acres Mall)
  • Nov. 11 – Chase Bank (Attempt) (Green Acres Mall)
  • Nov. 11 – Foot Action (Green Acres Mall)
  • Nov. 11 – Kids Foot Locker (Green Acres Mall)

Police say that, in all the burglaries, Ardoin stole cash and merchandise from the stores.

Ardoin was located in the Roosevelt Field Mall at 9:22 p.m. on Nov. 16 and arrested without incident. He is charged with nine counts of third-degree burglary. He was arraigned on Saturday in First District Court in Hempstead.
