Masked Man Robbed Nassau Store In Early Morning Hours
Police say he intimidated an employee into opening the store's door, and then robbed the safe.
Nassau County police are investigating a robbery that occurred in East Garden City early Tuesday morning.
According to police, a man walked up to the Dollar Tree in the shopping center at 646 Stewart Ave. with his hands in his pockets and ordered the man working inside to open the door. The employee did, and the robber walked into the store and stole cash from the store's safe. He then fled on foot in an unknown direction.
The robber is described as a black man, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall with a thin build and weighing about 185 pounds. He was last seen wearing dark clothes, gloves and had his face covered by a black ski mask.

Police ask anyone with information about this robbery to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All calls will remain anonymous, and you could receive a cash reward if your information leads to an arrest.
