
The Art League of Nassau County has a Member Show at the Hutchins Gallery in the B. Davis Schwartz Memorial Library at C.W. Post College for the month of October. All residents are welcome to attend the show that features from members of the ALNC.
"As always, I was impressed with the quality of the work," said ALNC president, Tim Savage. "We filled up the gallery with beautiful oils, watercolors and sculpture."
Award winners were presented prizes at the reception. Congratulations to the following artists:
Best in Show: Roberta Mei-Chu Lin from Mineola
Award of Excellence: Charles Santopadre of Albertson
Award of Merit: Marie Sheehy-Walker from Lloyd Harbor & Shawn Sullivan of Franklin Square
Special Award: Virginia Uvino from Manhasset Hills & Estelle Friedman of Seaford
Honorable Mentions: Gia Schifano from New Hyde Park Chris Klein of Franklin Square Kathy Burns of South Hempstead Grace Su from Jamaica, Queens
The juror was Pedro Pacheco.
The show will remain up until October 30th, 2012.

The ALNC, formed in 1925, has four goals for its members: To exhibit their art in public, have workshops, to give artists an opportunity to join together in fellowship and to host monthly demonstrations by our area’s top fine artists in various mediums. It meets at the Clinton G. Martin Recreation Center, located at 1601 Marcus Avenue, at the corner of Marcus and New Hyde Park Road near Union Turnpike in New Hyde Park.
