Mother, Children Approached by Suspicious Man in Garden City
Garden City Schools relay information from police about man who offered suspicious toy to woman walking with children on Prospect Avenue.

A man made a suspicious offer to children walking with their mother on a Garden City street, school officials said Thursday.
According to a letter sent to parents by Superintendent Robert Feirsen, a mother and her children were walking on Prospect Avenue when a black Dodge with Arizona license plates pulled up to them.
The male driver reportedly presented a drinking straw with a paper clip attached and claimed it was a children’s toy. When the mother declined to take it from the man, he drove away, said the letter. Read the letter here.
