Late Night Blaze Destroys Nassau Home
Firefighters from multiple departments responded. Thankfully, no one was injured.
Firefighters from many Nassau departments responded to a fire in Hempstead Thursday night that destroyed a home, but didn't injure anyone.
The call came in to the Hempstead Fire Department for a fire at a home on Greenwich Street just after 8 p.m.
According to Newsday, the home was vacant. Firefighters from the West Hempstead, South Hempstead, Lakeview, Roosevelt, Uniondale and Rockville Centre fire departments also responded to help fight the fire, Newsday also reported.
