Nassau Man Arrested For Running Over, Killing Pedestrian: Police
Police say he ran over a man and drove off without calling for help. The man died days later in the hospital.

A Floral Park man was arrested on Friday and charged with leaving the scene of an accident after police say he ran over an injured pedestrian with his car earlier this month.
According to police, on March 3, Neptali Sanchez, 44, of Crown Avenue, parked his 2001 Ford Expedition in front of 43 West Columbia Street in Hempstead at 8:15 p.m. while he went inside a deli. While he was in the deli, a 64-year-old man fell in front of the passenger side of the car.
Police say that Sanchez got into his car and drove off, running over the man. Police say Sanchez initially stopped, then fled the scene at a high rate of speed.
